ECHL| Royals: 1st Home Loss Since October
(Reading, PA) - The Reading Royals haven't lost a home game since Halloween. Or at least they hadn't lost a home game since Halloween. The Johnstown Chiefs came into Reading last night and jumped out to a 4-1 lead. Reading fought back, but lost 4-3. Royals' netminder Cody Rudkowsky stopped just 14 of 18 shots in the loss. The Chiefs now lead Reading in ECHL's Northern Division by 4 points and with the win won this year's Keystone Cup for the fifth time in eight years.
Royals goalkeeper Pete Hamerlik was named Sun National Bank ECHL Saver of the Month. Hamerlik posted a 1.42 GAA with 6 wins and a tie in 7 starts for February.
